Charles M. Joseph of Janney Montgomery Scott, saratoga springs, ny

Throughout my nearly 30 year career, I have helped investors preserve, manage and grow their wealth in order to meet their short and long term objectives. By using a comprehensive approach to financial planning, I recommend the most appropriate investments that meet their needs and risk tolerance. My practice includes offering clients retirement, insurance and philanthropic planning: equities, tax-free and taxable bonds and annuities. This approach is designed to assist individual investors, families and businesses in estate planning as well as meeting their daily income needs.  My client service philosophy revolves around educating myself about my clients, building long-term relationships and working intimately to achieve their financial goals.

I began my career with John Hancock, and after several years I transitioned to First Albany Corporation where I spent the subsequent seven years. In 1998 I was offered a position within Paine Webber Inc./UBS, and in 2004 joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC. after searching for a strong regional firm with a conservative reputation that allowed me the ability to operate independently.  In addition to my industry experience, I have achieved the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® program, administered by The American College, the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM program offered by the College of Financial Planning and the Wealth Management Certification Program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, I now hold the CAP® and AWMA® designations. I am also currently a Board Member at Saratoga Hospital Foundation and The Gift Planning Group of Northeastern NY.

When away from the office I enjoy fly fishing, golf and spending time with my family and friends.  My wife, Beth Hill, an artist, and I have been happily married since 1974 and have two adult children. We currently reside in Greenfield Center, New York.
